Heart for Milton

I was pleasantly surprised at this 'what if' continuation of the love story between Margaret Hale and John Thornton from the book North and South. I am usually quite wary of continuation stories because of the tendency to skew the integrity of the original work.

I enjoyed Gaskell's North and South, so I tried this rendition only to be disappointed/disgusted. An author has a chance to write something worthy of Gaskell's story, and instead, gives out trash.

Love, love, loved this book. A huge fan of North and South BBC miniseries and this satisfied my desire to see what the future held for John and Margaret as well as the other beloved characters.
